About Us
Peanut Butter & Jam Sessions brings families together for musical encounters that provide a friendly, educational, and enjoyable introduction to classical music. Designed for ages two to six, these interactive concerts will touch, teach, and enrich your child’s life.
During PB&J performances, children are invited to sit on the floor, close to the performers, allowing them to be part of the action. To enhance the experience for young children, a music educator hosts each concert, leading movement, dances, beat patterns, songs, and Q&A. At the end of the concert, families are invited to meet the performers and get an up-close introduction to their instruments.
The Peanut Butter & Jam Sessions program is presented by Linton Chamber Music and has been around for over two decades. This unique early childhood music program includes the Main Series Concerts, Free Library and Community Concerts, and virtual Musical Mornings. Special in-school programming is provided in Avondale elementary schools and through a new partnership with Cincinnati Preschool Promise.
Music enhances children’s lives. We can’t wait to show you how!

Main Series Concerts
Usually on Saturday mornings, our Main Series Concerts come to a location in your neighborhood! Our team of professional musicians, along with one of our music educators leads the way as your child gets one of their earliest experiences with classical music.
Tickets to this program are $6 for everyone 2 years and up (or 4/$20). And thanks to our friends at Graeter’s, everyone goes home with a free cookie!

Library and Community Concerts
Our FREE Library and Community Concerts take place on weekday mornings and evenings, usually in partnership with a story time, literacy night, or other community activity. Children get the same great programming with our cohort of classical musicians and music education specialist.
Because these concerts are free, they are a great way to try our programming. You’ll love your child’s reaction to a PB&J concert!

Outdoor Musical Adventures
All of our programs are casual, but with our outdoor programming, it’s even more so. Children move from large groups to small groups as they get up close and personal with the musicians. Because you are outside and in smaller groups, this is a very safe, casual and easy way to introduce your child to our program.

Virtual Musical Mornings
Due to the pandemic, we had to rethink how to engage families. Our virtual Musical Mornings programmimg was born, and we aren’t looking back! For each of our seasons, we offer related, supplemental programming on our Facebook page and YouTube channel. Watch with your child in the weeks leading up to the concert to enhance their experience or watch after the concert to relive the fun!
